This Bureau develops and provides comprehensive training programs for the Waterbury Fire Dept. The mission of the B.I.T. is the safety of the department's membership; our goal is to provide consistent, standardized training that allows for the safe and successful mitigation of emergency incidents. 

While training is the primary mission, the B.I.T. also provides vast support services for the department.  Incident Safety, Research & Development, Personal Protective Clothing Management, Maintenance and Servicing of Air Monitoring Instruments are examples of some of the support services provided.  Members are assigned to the B.I.T. are proud to continue the Bureau's strong history of commitment to safety.
