The Waterbury Fire Department provides a number of services, including, but not limited to:

• Building, site, and home inspections; code enforcement
• Fire and emergency response (fires, alarms, odors, good intent calls)
  Rescue response (motor vehicle, confined space, elevator entrapment, water emergencies)
• Hazardous materials response (gas leaks, chemical emergencies, carbon monoxide, unknown odors, roadway incidents)
• Service calls (EMS and police assists, smoke detector testing and replacement, Safe Place program, Muscular Dystrophy 'Fill the Boot' campaign, public education on fire prevention, community events)
