Fire Department Badge City of Waterbury is discussing a possible Firefighter academy by the end of 2021. This is subject to change. The total number of candidates to be hired has not been determined.

Please note that in order to become a certified Firefighter, you must have a valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). The CPAT certificates expires after 24 months.
