APPROVED WATERBURY SEWER RATES FY24

The following approved rate schedule by the City of Waterbury’s Water Pollution Control Department for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 will be implemented effective as of July 1, 2023; having been approved by the Board of Public Works (the Water Pollution Control Authority) on May 23, 2023 and filed with the City of Waterbury Office of the City Clerk on May 24, 2023.

Sewer User Charge: $2.472 per hundred cubic feet
Capital Recovery Charge: $1.481 per hundred cubic feet
Minimum Annual Charge: $20.00

Sewer use will be determined based on water consumption at the property served. If water consumption cannot be determined then an estimate of water usage will be used to bill sewer users, who will be billed either monthly or quarterly.

Sewer User Surcharge: for users that are required to operate under a State Discharge permit and have pollutant strengths that affect the treatment works above normal domestic sewage are additionally charged:
$.241 per pound for 5 day Biochemical Oxygen Demand in excess of 300 mg/l
$.345 per pound for Suspended Solids in excess of 300 mg/l
