Alert Waterbury is the City of Waterbury’s official emergency and community notification system. This service allows residents to receive timely alerts and important information directly from the City by phone call, text message, or email.

Alerts may include emergency notifications, public safety information, weather related updates, service disruptions, and other important city announcements.

Signing up is free and voluntary. Residents may choose how they receive alerts and which types of notifications they want to receive.

  • Extreme cold weather protocols or other weather related safety measures
  • Opening, relocation, or closure of city warming centers or shelters
