Launched in 2011, the BRASS (Bringing Resources to Action to Serve Seniors) program is a city-wide project funded and hosted by Connecticut Community Foundation and made up of a coalition of local organizations, including the City of Waterbury, that supports older adults in Waterbury. The mission of BRASS is to engage residents age 55 and older in a range of opportunities and programs to help Waterbury become a great place to grow older.
BRASS provides a variety of free social, educational and wellness programs for older adults that are held at one of following BRASS site locations throughout the city: Grace Baptist Church, Hispanic Coalition, Mt Olive Senior Center, Waterbury Senior Center, and Willow Plaza Community Center.
The Waterbury BRASS office is located in the Waterbury Senior Center. BRASS is the central hub of information on services, programs, and benefits for Waterbury residents ages 60 and over. The office provides information and benefits access for seniors and coordinates a system of social and wellness programs.
