ROOMING HOUSES, HOTELS, MOTEL, GROUP HOMES & BED/BREAKFAST UNITS

The Environmental Health Division is a code enforcement agency that insures the health and wellbeing of Waterbury residents through code enforcement and compliance with State Public Health Codes and fire safety for rooming houses, hotels, motels, group homes and bed/breakfast units. 

These establishments are must obtain and annual license from the Waterbury Health Department to operate and they are inspected annually. Inspections focus on general sanitary conditions, insect/rodent infestations and maintenance. Complaints concerning the operation or condition of a rooming house, hotel, motel, group home or bed/breakfast unit should be made to the Waterbury Health Department Environmental Health Division at 203-346-3903.
