Because of the high temperatures, the City of Waterbury is opening cooling centers to help local residents stay cool during this potentially dangerous heat wave.

The following cooling stations will be open Wednesday (6/20), Thursday (6/21) and Friday (6/22), 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

- Maloney Magnet School, 233 S. Elm St.

- Silas Bronson Library, 267 Grand St.
