Memorial Day Parade Canceled Due to Forecasted Weather

(Waterbury, CT) Due to forecasted rain and inclement weather conditions, the City of Waterbury’s Memorial Day Parade scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026 has been canceled.

The parade had been scheduled to muster at 12 noon on Freight Street with step off at 1:00 p.m.

Memorial Day Services will still take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Due to the weather forecast, the services will now be held in the basement of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.

City officials encourage residents to attend the indoor services as the community gathers to honor and remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation.
