Waterbury Announces Repair and Restoration of Transmission Line in Thomaston

The City of Waterbury announces that the 42-inch water transmission line in Thomaston has been successfully repaired and is now back in service.
Following the completion of repairs, required bacterial testing was conducted and has been completed with results confirming the water is safe.
The transmission main has been fully restored to normal operations.
At no time during this incident did residents or businesses lose water service. Any temporary issues with water pressure or discoloration have been resolved.
Road restoration work on Waterbury Road in Thomaston is ongoing and is expected to be completed by Thursday afternoon, pending approval from the Connecticut State Department of Transportation.

The city thanks residents and commuters for their patience and cooperation throughout the repair process.
