NOTICE OF CHANGE TO REFUSE AND RECYCLING
COLLECTION
Due to Winter Storm Monday, February 23, 2026
(Waterbury, CT.) Due
to the impending winter storm expected to impact the area on Sunday, February
22, and Monday, February 23, 2026, the City of Waterbury announces the
following changes to the refuse and recycling collection schedule:
- There will be no refuse or recycling collection
on Monday, February 23, 2026.
- All Monday collections will take place on
Tuesday, February 24.
- All Tuesday collections will take place on
Wednesday, February 25.

Refuse at (203) 574-6857.
The city is monitoring the winter weather event, which
is expected to bring heavy snowfall and strong winds across the region. The city
thanks residents for their cooperation as public safety and service adjustments
are made in response to the storm.
