City of Waterbury Department of Engineering to Host Public Information Meeting on
Clough Brook Climate Resilience Drainage Improvements Project

(Waterbury, CT.) The City of Waterbury Department of Engineering announces that a Public Information Meeting will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Hall, 12 Ardsley Road, Waterbury, Connecticut, regarding the Clough Brook Climate Resilience Drainage Improvements Project.

The City of Waterbury initiated this project to better understand drainage and flooding issues throughout the Clough Brook Watershed within the City. All community members are invited to attend. The facility is handicapped accessible. Residents who require special accommodations due to a disability or language barrier are encouraged to contact the City in advance.

Representatives from the City of Waterbury and Weston & Sampson Engineers will present findings from the Clough Brook flooding investigation and discuss recommended flood mitigation alternatives to address flooding concerns in the project area. The presentation will include analysis of the Juniper Ridge drainage system, modeling of future flood conditions, and an overview of potential mitigation strategies identified to reduce flood risks.

Community participation is encouraged as resident input will help inform future planning and implementation efforts related to climate resilience and flood mitigation.
