PRESIDENTS’ DAY REFUSE COLLECTION NOTICE

City of Waterbury Announces Changes to Refuse and Recycling Collection Schedule

(Waterbury, CT.) In observance of Presidents’ Day on Monday, February 16, 2026, the City of Waterbury announces the following changes to the refuse and recycling collection schedule.

There will be no refuse or recycling collection on Monday, February 16, 2026. All Monday collections will take place on Tuesday, and all Tuesday collections will take place on Wednesday.

Additionally, the Mark Lane Transfer Facility will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, and Tuesday, February 17, 2026. The facility will reopen on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.

Residents are asked to plan accordingly. The city appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding.
