Updated Refuse and Recycling Collection Schedule

(Waterbury, CT) Due to the impending winter weather forecasted for Friday, December 26, 2025, and Saturday, December 27, 2025, the City of Waterbury Department of Public Works has adjusted the refuse and recycling collection schedule.

The following changes will be in effect:

• Friday, December 26, 2025, refuse and recycling will be collected on Monday, December 29, 2025
• Monday, December 29, 2025, refuse and recycling will be collected on Tuesday, December 30, 2025
• Tuesday, December 30, 2025, refuse and recycling will be collected on Wednesday, December 31, 2025

Residents are assured that all refuse and recycling will be collected, although pickup will occur on this adjusted schedule.

Residents with questions are encouraged to contact the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Refuse, at (203) 574-6857.

The City of Waterbury thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as crews work to safely manage collection services during winter weather conditions.
