Waterbury Winter Storm Notice - Snow Parking Ban
EFFECTIVE: Friday, December 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM through
Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 8:00 AM
(Waterbury, CT) Due to the forecasted winter storm, Mayor Paul Pernerewski has announced the activation of a snow parking ban for the City of Waterbury. The ban will take effect on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM and will remain in place until Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 8:00 AM.
Forecasted precipitation is expected to begin Friday afternoon and will consist primarily of heavy snow.
“This is our first significant snow event of the season, and preparation is critical,” said Mayor Paul Pernerewski. “We appreciate residents’ cooperation with the parking ban, which allows our crews to clear streets more efficiently and maintain safe travel conditions citywide.”
In addition to all currently posted Snow Zones, there will be no parking on the odd-numbered side of all city streets for the duration of the ban. Residents are strongly encouraged to use their driveways or city parking garages rather than parking on the street.
Please be advised: Vehicles parked in Snow Zones or on the odd-numbered side of city streets during the ban may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
