Christmas and New Year’s Day Refuse and Recycling Collection Schedule

(Waterbury, CT) In observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, the City of Waterbury announces the following changes to refuse and recycling collection schedules.

There will be no refuse or recycling collection on Thursday, December 25, 2025, and Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Collections normally scheduled for Thursday will be collected on Friday. Collections normally scheduled for Friday will be collected on Saturday.

In addition, the Mark Lane Transfer Station will be closed on both December 25 and January 1.

Residents are asked to plan accordingly and thank you for your cooperation during the holiday season.
