City of Waterbury Announces Temporary Road Closing on Bank Street

(Waterbury, CT)– The City of Waterbury is advising the public of scheduled paving work on Bank Street as part of the ongoing downtown streetscape improvements. This work represents another important step in the city’s investment in a more vibrant, accessible, and pedestrian friendly downtown business district.

Paving will take place from Monday, November 24 through Wednesday, November 26 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. During these hours a daily detour will be in place. A map of the proposed detour route is attached for public reference.

These improvements are designed to support the continued growth and revitalization of the downtown area. Upgrades to road surfaces, sidewalks, lighting, and streetscape features all contribute to a safer and more attractive environment for residents, businesses, and visitors.

The City of Waterbury appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this work is completed. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time and follow posted detour signs.
