UPDATE: Service Restored Following Scheduled Repair
(WATERBURY, CT) - Crews have successfully completed the scheduled work on the Huntingdon Avenue high-pressure main and water service has been restored. The system will gradually return to full pressure, and residents are asked to be patient as that process takes place.
Residents who experienced a loss of water or reduced pressure during this repair are advised to boil their drinking water until testing confirms that the water is free of bacteria.
This boil water advisory applies only to those who lost water service, not to all customers.
The City of Waterbury has notified the State Department of Public Health and will provide an update once test results are available and the advisory can be lifted.
