Waterbury Winter Storm Notice
Parking Ban
EFFECTIVE: Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 4:00 pm – Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 9:00 pm
Due to the forecasted winter storm, Mayor Paul Pernerewski has announced the activation of a snow parking ban for the City of Waterbury, effective Saturday February 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM and continuing until Sunday February 9, 2025 at 9:00 PM.
“In preparation for Winter Storm Brant, I urge all residents of Waterbury to take the necessary precautions as we anticipate significant snowfall, especially through the overnight hours. To ensure that our plows can effectively clear the streets and maintain public safety, a parking ban has been issued beginning at 4:00 pm today. This ban will remain in effect until Sunday at 9:00 pm. I ask for everyone’s cooperation and patience during this storm, as we work to keep our roads safe and accessible,” said Mayor Pernerewski.
In addition to all currently posted "Snow Zones," there will be NO Parking on the odd-numbered side of all city streets. Residents are strongly encouraged to use their driveways or city parking garages instead of parking on the street.
Please be aware: Vehicles parked in snow zones or on the odd-numbered side of streets may be towed at the owner's expense.
