Mayor O’Leary Directs Cooling Centers Open in Waterbury

 

WHEN:          July 26 – July 29

 

 

WATERBURY, CT- Mayor Neil O’Leary today announced that due to the anticipated high temperatures over the next several days he has directed Waterbury’s Cooling Centers to open beginning Wednesday, July 26 through Saturday, July 29.

  • North End Rec, 268 N. Main St.
    • Open 8:00am to 8:00pm July 26, 27, 28, and 29
  • CHD Hospitality Center, 690 E. Main St.
    • Open 8:00am to 8:00pm July 26, 27, 28, and 29
  • Waterbury Senior Center, 1985 E. Main St (age 60 and over)
    • Open 9:00am to 2:00pm July 26, 27, 28, and 29
  • Maloney Magnet School, 233 S. Elm St.
    • Open 8:00am to 8:00pm July 26, 27, 28, and 29

 

In addition to the Cooling Centers, residents can enjoy the city’s 16 splash pads or outdoor swimming pools.

Fulton Park Pool and Washington Park Pool Hours are 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM seven days per week.
