will be open on Monday, February 20, 2023 to Accommodate

Receipt of 2022 Property Revaluation Appeal Applications

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

WHERE:        City Hall, Assessors Office, 235 Grand Street, Waterbury

                       

 

Waterbury- The deadline for city residents and businesses to submit an application to appeal their property’s 2022 revaluation assessed value is Monday, February 20, 2023 at 5:00 PM which happens to fall on a Federal holiday when city offices are normally closed.

 

Mayor Neil O’Leary announced today that Waterbury’s City Hall Assessor’s office will be open on Monday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM to allow for residents who wish to submit their appeal application in person. Mayor O’Leary said. “I want to ensure that everyone has the chance to appeal their assessed value if they so choose.”

 

Applications can be submitted by email, fax or in person. The deadline for the submission of an appeal application is Monday, February 20, 2023 at 5:00 PM.

Return Completed Application to the Assessor’s office by Monday, February 20, 2023 at 5:00 PM via:

For applications received on or before February 20, 2023 at 5:00 PM, the Board of Assessment appeals will schedule hearings beginning March 1st. 

 

CT General State Statute requires that each town shall implement a property revaluation not later than the first day of October every five years. Waterbury residents received their October 1, 2022 revalued property assessment notices this past November.
