NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Waterbury has proposed the following substantial amendments to the following Community Development Block Grant Program Annual Action Plans: amend CD YR 46 (2020-2021) to reallocate unused program administration funds in the amount of $310,582 and create a new project, Library Park Improvements Phase II; and amend CD YR 47 (2021-2022) to reallocate unused Hamilton Park Improvement funds in the amount of $300,000 and create a new project, Library Park Improvements Phase II.

In accordance with the Citizen Participation Plan, the change in use of grant funds from one eligible activity to another, the elimination of an activity originally described in the Annual Action Plan, and the addition of an activity not originally described constitutes a Substantial Amendment to the Consolidated/Annual Action Plan. The substantial amendments were presented to the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) for its review and approval. The CAC approved the amendments at a duly noticed meeting on July 12, 2022, and scheduled a Public Hearing to be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 5:30 p.m., at City Hall, Veterans Memorial Hall, 2nd Floor, 235 Grand Street, for the purpose of receiving public input on the amendments.
