The street light LED conversion program is underway. Through a contract with Noresco, a United Technologies Company, the City of Waterbury will be converting 7,200 street lights to LED lighting. LED lighting will provide improved lighting and reduce costs to the City of Waterbury. Periodic updates will be provided through the City of Waterbury’s website, and the Waterbury Republican. Multiple crews will be performing this work starting in the northern part of the City in the area of the Wolcott town line and, will continue southerly. The upgrade of the system is anticipated to take four to six months.
