AN IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS OF CITY OF WATERBURY BUREAU OF WATER

DOWNTOWN AREAS

The annual flushing of mains and testing of fire hydrants has begun on Monday, April 16th. The work for the downtown area is scheduled from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Sunday May 13, 2018.  Each of the 9 weekly flushing routes is posted on the city’s website www.waterburyct.org or call our customer service line (203-574-8251 option 1) during normal business hours.

As a result of flushing, customers may experience periods of reduced pressure and/or discolored water.  This is not harmful, however, sufficient clean water should be drawn for drinking, cooking and washing at the start of each day.
