S&P Global Ratings Affirms the City’s “AA-“ Long Term Bond Rating with a Stable Outlook.  Following a recently completed rating review, S&P Global Ratings affirmed the City’s “AA-“ long term bond rating with a stable outlook.  A bond rating of “AA-“ is just three notches below the highest available bond rating of “AAA”.  The City requested a bond rating from S&P Global Ratings in preparation for an upcoming sale of City bonds.  The affirmed “AA-“ Rating reflects the City’s continuation of very strong management practices, strong budgetary performance, adequate budget flexibility, very strong liquidity and strong institutional framework.  The stable outlook reflects S&P Global Rating’s view of Waterbury’s consistently strong operating performance, supported by a modestly growing economic base and very strong management.  To access S&P Global Ratings full report, please “Click Here”.
