5/31/2017 - 5-31-17 Street Sweeping Update
The City’s residential street sweeping program continues for the next four weeks
Below is information regarding the next two weeks of the program. Detailed updates will be provided through local media sources including the City of Waterbury website.
Property owners are asked to sweep their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.
June 1st through June 9th
Crew 1 will be completing in District 4 which is in the East End.
Beginning Monday June 5th this crew will begin working in District 5 which is in the north end of the City. The first area of this district to be swept is from North Main St, south to Grove St and includes the Fulton Park area.

Crew 2 will be working in District 3 which is the Hopeville School area and the Baldwin St Washington St areas.

After completing work in this area the crew will work in District 2 which is in the west end of town. Work will begin in Bunker Hill starting at the Watertown line continuing south and west into the Park Rd area.


The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping. Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Weekly updates will be posted in the newspaper and on the City website (www.waterburyct.org).
