The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Chase Avenue and

North Main Street will be impacted by upcoming construction activities. These impacts

will begin Monday April 3, 2017 and continue until July 18, 2017.

In order to complete construction activities along North Main Street where it intersects

with Chase Avenue, North Main Street will be closed to southbound traffic at Hill Street.

A detour will be in place that utilizes Hill Street and Chase Avenue for all southbound

traffic along North Main Street. Northbound traffic along North Main Street will not be

affected. Detour signs will be posted and Waterbury Police will assist with traffic control

during construction activities.

At least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained along Chase Avenue at

all times and no closures of Chase Avenue are planned or expected.
