6/15/2016 - Street sweeping schedule for the week of June 20

The City’s residential street sweeping program will continue for the next two weeks. Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Crew 1:  During the week of June 20, this crew will continue working in the west end of town. The crews will be in District 2-4 which is the lower part of the Bunker Hill area from the Watertown town line south to Aurora Street, and streets between Oakville Avenue and Watertown Avenue. Crews will also be working in the Fairmount section including the Colonial Avenue area

 

Crew 2 will continue sweeping in District 5-3, the Hillside neighborhoods including Columbia Boulevard through lower Willow Street,0 and all intersecting streets. After completing work in the Hillside area crews will move into District 5-2, which encompasses the lower Fulton Park neighborhood. District 5-3 is from Pine St north to Greenwood Ave and Cooke St east to North Main St and all intersecting streets.

 

The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping. Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.
