If you’re going to run a road race, there should always be something great waiting for you at the finish line - like a cold beer.

The School Administrators of Waterbury, the Waterbury Teacher’s Association and the Office of the Mayor are joining together once again to sponsor the annual Great Dash & Bash 5K Road Race/1-Mile Walk this Saturday June 11 at Library Park in Waterbury. Registration is at 9 a.m. with the race at 10 a.m.

You will run a scenic route through Downtown Waterbury that ends conveniently at Pies and Pints Restaurant on Leavenworth Street, where you can enjoy one of their delicious home brews while loading a few carbs back on.

The advance registration fee is $20 for the race or walk for people age 18 and older, and $25 on race day. Advance registration for those 17 and under is $15, and $20 on race day.
