The Waterbury Department of Public Health is currently seeking School Nurses.  Qualified candidates must enjoy working with children,  possess thorough knowledge of nursing principles, and current pediatric health issues; written and verbal communication skills; the ability to use health-screening equipment; ability to maintain and organize accurate medical records; ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment and discretion in carrying out program responsibilities; ability to respond quickly to medical emergencies; ability to drive to all work locations.  Must be in good physical condition.

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing AND preferably at least two years experience in pediatric care.  Must possess a State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license, a valid State of Connecticut driver’s license and current CPR certification.
