5/27/2014 - City Implements New Utility Billing System

The city of Waterbury has implemented a new Water and Water Pollution Control Customer Management System.  Following several months of project plan assessment and development efforts, the project implementation phase began in the fall of 2013. The final data conversion occurred on May 1st. The first set of customer water utility bills using the new system has been generated and is being mailed out this week.

Due to the data migration over to the new billing system overlapping with the timing of the water meter readings for the May billing cycle, a number of customers in the west end and south end will receive an estimated bill.

Estimated bills are identified by an “E” entered in the “Read Code” column. Estimated bills are based on a customers’ unique historical consumption level and should be similar to past billed amounts.  The next bill for any estimated accounts will be based on actual meter reads obtained next quarter and will correct for any difference between the estimated water usage and the actual meter reading.

The following payment options are available to all customers:

Payment by Mail: Make checks payable to Tax Collector, City of Waterbury,
