The annual flushing of mains and testing of fire hydrants will begin on Monday, April 7, 2014. The work will be scheduled from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, until completion, approximately 11 weeks, through June 20, 2014.  A list of streets affected each week will be published in the Republican-American newspaper and posted to the City’s website, www.waterburyct.org/water.

As a result of flushing, customers may experience periods of reduced pressure and/or discolored water. This is not harmful, however, sufficient clean water should be drawn for drinking, cooking and washing at the start of each day.
