Healthy Waterbury 5-2-1-0 is an initiative led by the Bridge to Success Child Health and Development Workgroup to help Waterbury youth prevent or overcome struggles with health and weight.
5-2-1-0 stands for 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables each day, no more than 2 hours of screen time (TV, video games, etc), at least 1 hour of physical activity, and 0 sugary drinks.
Every day, each organization, agency and entity has the opportunity to have a positive impact on our environment as it influences community health and wellness. Healthy Living Leadership opportunities are a list of suggested strategies that can be implemented in a variety of settings to support healthy choices for staff members, clients and customers. We invite you to print and share this document with your organization and let us know what actions you will take to support a healthy Waterbury community.
