Street Sweeping Update
The City’s residential street sweeping program began on Monday April 1, 2013
and will continue through completion which is expected to be the end of May.
Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate
gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.
The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping.
Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior
to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may
be towed at the owner’s expense.
Week of April 22, 2013
Crew 1 will continue work in District 6-2 which includes the Bucks Hill area and the Waterville area.
Crew 2 will be working in District 4-4 which encompasses the following area:
Wolcott St to Meriden Rd Cherry St northerly to Stillson Rd.
Crew 3 will continue sweeping in District 2 which is in the west end of town from the
Watertown line Bunker Hill Ave./Ridgeland Drive to West Main St and Park Rd easterly to
Watertown Ave. Also included within this district is the Colonial Ave/Brookside area.
Work in this area should be completed by the end of April.
Week of April 29, 2013
Crew 1 will complete work in District 6-2 which includes the Bucks Hill area and the Waterville area.
Work will begin in District 6-1which includes the upper North Main St, Bucks Hill & Montoe Rd areas.
Crew 2 will continue working in District 4-4 which encompasses the following area:
Wolcott St to Meriden Rd Cherry St northerly to Stillson Rd.
Work will begin in District 4-3 which includes the White City and Fairlawn neighborhoods.
