Santa is making a pre-Christmas visit to Waterbury stopping at the Mattatuck Museum. Boys and girls of all ages can hand-deliver their Christmas letters to Santa personally and have their pictures taken with him. Parents are welcome to bring their own cameras to capture this special moment. Santa will have a special gift for each child. The event will include hands-on art-making projects, holiday music and refreshments. As part of the festivities, the Museum is also presenting Novelties of the Industrial Age: Toys Made in Connecticut, an exhibit featuring vintage toys manufactured in Connecticut during the 19th century. Bring a toy to be donated to New Opportunities, Inc. Help us fill the antique sleigh that will be on display in the Museum's history exhibit with toy donations to benefit children from the community.
