For example permits are required for all new structures, repairs, remodels, roofing, siding, swimming pools, decks, sheds, signs, demolitions, electrical, plumbing and heating.  Please contact the Building Inspection Department at 203-574-6832 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday in order to determine if a permit is required for the work to be performed.
