The Gathering, Waterbury's day-long festival that celebrates the rich cultural diversity that makes up our great city, takes place this Saturday May 16 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event kicks off with a cultural parade that features more than 60 different cultures and countries. The parade ends at Library Park, where four stages will feature all types of ethnic entertainment and dancing. There will also be about 100 booths set up throughout the park and food vendors in and outside the park. Grand Street will also be closed for a classic car show. This is the biggest cultural festival in Connecticut. We're expecting as many as 20,000 people. Don't miss it!
