Match citywide needs with resources

Help identify projects that can be funded with federal, state and private dollars

Work with departments to develop project ideas into eligible, fundable activities

Provide grant opportunity information to city departments

Act as a liaison between federal and state agencies and various citywide departments and non-profits

Maintain a database of all grant applications made by the city

Organize collaborative grant writing projects with non-profit agencies where appropriate

Provide grant writing and technical assistance

Follow up with agencies regarding grant applications for the city

Increase grant funding coming into the city of Waterbury

Meet with non-profits and citywide departments regularly |
| WHAT DEPARTMENTS NEED TO PROVIDE |
- Partnership on strategic planning process where the top two or three priority projects are identified by your department
- A preliminary projection of the specific costs of those projects
- A bulleted description of the need for funding
- Outline of preliminary action steps that will be required to put together project and grant application
- Identification of traditional sources of funding for projects, if any, and projected future funding

Needed: The projected total dollar amount of the project, other sources of funding the department already has in place for this; how the department has suffereed because of a lack of funding in this area; the critical need for citizens of Waterbury that the project meets; the specific plan in place to address the need for the road and bridge work. | |
